This letter is written in verification of the employment of Tariq Ahmed with Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions, a previously completely owned subsidiary of Bell Canada now operating as Bell Canada. Tariq Ahmed was employed full-time by Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions with the position of Software Programmer from June 6th 1994 to January 10th 1997. I was Tariq Ahmed’s manager during his term of employment with Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions, and can therefore verify the duties he performed and the experience he gained during his employment with Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions.

Tariq Ahmed performed the following duties during his employment with Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions: object oriented network programming in a distributed HP-UX environment for the Bell Trouble Management System. This required object oriented analysis and design, requirements gathering, software design, software testing, and software programming for multi- tiered application development. Other duties required web application development, custom web page design, CGI development, web browser API development, and CGI to Database integration. Non core activities included NT 3.51 server administration, HPUX 9.x/10.x system administration, sales engineering, and user interface design.

Essential skills required for Tariq Ahmed’s position at Bell Sygma Telecom Solutions are: C, C++, Unix, and Windows. He gained experience in the following areas: Java, Javascript, Neuron Data, CORBA, Orbix and OrbixWeb, Visual C++, Photoshop, CGI programming, Rogue Wave tools, TCP/IP based protocols (FTP, TELNET, HTTP, CCI), Object Oriented Analysis and Design, software programming, software engineering, software design, HTML, HPUX 9.05/10.10, Windows NT/95, Oracle Enterprise Servers, Tcl/Tk, and UNIX Shell programming.
