Mixed Eczema

This is the results of a double infection, microbial as well as mycotic. It is characterized by vesico-pustular lesions, putules, crusts and abundant scales. The margins of the eczematous patches may assume a geographical aspect. Pruritus is always present. Due to the establishment of specific allergies to the toxins produced by the infectious agents, the microbid or levurid lesions distant from the primary foci are quite frequent. They often appear as erythematous patches of various dimensions and number, covered mainly by scales.
