This is moi, Tariq The RaTT Ahmed. All my youth I
dreamed of having a nice bike, but could never really afford it.
All my money basically went to school. But now I can afford something
serious, and I've got many years to catch up. I'll take any jump,
and drop, you name it. It ain't fun unless your life is at risk.

Though I still enjoy the rush from when you truly feel
scared, I'm not so gutsy to take suicidal jumps anymore.
It's amazing how when you get older your brain has such
incredibly strong failsafe's to prevent you from hurting
yourself. When I was a teenager I used to sneak out by
jumping out the window. Later in my early twenties I tried
teaching that to my sister, and I could not will myself to
jump off anymore, because the same jump now results in
more injury and far longer recovery time.

1Here's Derek Douville. He's in the same boat as myself when it
comes to mountain bike experience. His history of biking was mainly
that of a speed cyclist, but we pressured him into changing his
incorrect ways. Now he's pretty happy, bunny hopping every chance
he can get. He's got the funky biking clothes, just needs to lose
the Canadian Tire helmet.

Would you believe the guy has done incredibly well in his
career. Going from Cognos, to Bell Sygma, to Nortel, and
now to Netscape. Drives a MX-6, and has stock options gallore...
The jack is still using his Canadian Tire helmet! Canadian Tire
is like Walmart loser brand.
Though here's his comment after reading this:
" F**K! I'm not using the Canadian Tire helmet! I've got a WAY cool
helmet, metalic purple, name-brand! Ultra cool to wear."
Hehehe....

Frank Krul, the source of my inspiration. Once a professional
BMX freestylist making a living in Florida, also excels in skateboarding,
roller blading, and other extreme sports like downhill skiing and
snowboarding. Though he has over a decade of experience on me, I
can force myself to perform my best by pacing against this guy. Though
I will never be down with the funky freestylin stunts he performs.
He doesn't care much for style when it comes to the trails, this
is evident with his teenage mutant ninja turtles KMART helmet.

Frank is down in Santa Barbara - California these days
with his wife. I think he eventually broke this
bike and now has a dual suspension. Not much else to say,
Frank is one of the most gifted people I've ever met. In this
case extremely athletically talented for sports that require
fine grain control over balance and timing.
He still uses a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles helmet. :)
