This tournament will bring together TFC teams to face-off on the best user-made maps for TFC that are available
on the Internet.
Basics:
The following settings should be used for all matches:
Match at 9 p.m. EST every Tuesday
8 v 8
Team damage ON
Rate cap of 5000
2x30'
Caps decide outcome, not frags
First game on server of team with higher ranking, second on lower ranked team's server
If score is tied after 2 games, then play third game on server of higher ranked team
If one clan has a T1 or better and other has cable, then the match is played entirely on the better server.
Scheduling:
The default day for the matches is Tuesday at 9 pm et. If your team cannot play at that time, then you will need
to contact your opponent and request that the match is scheduled for an alternative time. The match can be
played any time between the scheduled date and the Friday before it. We will update the standings and
statistics and compile map votes on Wednesday mornings (around 7 am), so the results need to be to us
before then.
NOTE: If you ICQ your opponent and don't hear back from them within 72 hours, then let me know. I will
remind their leader about contacting you. In this case, the team that contacts me first will host game one and
should set up their server for the match on Tuesday night at 9 pm et. If the opponent does not show on the
server by 9:15, then the host wins the match by forfeit

Server Issues:
If the server is not working 15 min after the scheduled time of the match, the match is moved to the other teams
server. This "visiting team" then has 15min to setup the server. If both teams' servers are crashing, the match
can be cancelled by mutual agreement.
Server Crashes:
a server crashes, please replay the entire round from scratch.
Issues of ping and lag:
This tournament is run with the belief that we have to "play the conditions", so if a given server is bad for your
team, you can request that the game is played on your server and you can do this if your opponent agrees.
However, if your opponent refuses to play on your server, then please play out the match. EXCEPTION: If your
team has an average ping that is twice as high as the host team, and this did not happen on your server, then
the match is to be played on the server that is best for both teams. For this reason, you should try to spend
some time on your opponent's server prior to the match so that issues related to poor ping or lag can be
resolved before each match. However, if one team's server is a slow cable server and the other's is a T1, then
just quit your whining and play the damn match on the T1 please.
Match attendance:
Log onto the match server 15 min prior to the match.
Both teams must have 6-8 players on the server by 15 min past the scheduled time for the match.
If the host server is not listed in Gamespy by 15 min after the scheduled start of the match, the visiting team
should contact the host team and offer to host the match. If the host team does not reply within 5 min, the
visiting team is awarded the match by forfeit. For this reason, you should give your opponents a second
contact name for your team before each match.
Substitutes
All players must be current members of each team and must be listed on the active roster. Ringers are automatic
grounds for forfeit and count as one strike against the team (see below).
Rescheduling Matches
If both teams agree that the match cannot occur at the scheduled time and date, then the match is considered a
"technical forfeit" which will not affect records or rankings.
Forfeits
If a team has less than 6 players at the scheduled start time of a match, they have 15 min to find more of their
members. Otherwise, they forfeit the match.
Scoring and voting for maps:
The winner is determined by combined score over the first two games. If the score is tied at this point, then a
third game is played on the server hosted by the higher rated team.
When you send in the results, to a form page I will post as part of the site before the first match, you should
vote for one of the maps on that page. Only votes from team leaders on winning teams will be used to determine
the map rotation. So, if you win, you determine what maps we play. For example, if your team wins its first two
matches (on Darkness) and you will send in the results for the matches and also vote twice for the map we play
after Run, which was selected by the vast majority of teams that signed up for the tourney.
Map selection:
The maps will be picked from Radium's Top10 list, hence the name of the tourney. For now, I am trying to limit
the choices to 3 maps, so enough people vote for a few good maps. If there is a tie, Nightlife and I will consult
and decide which map is used next. We will try to keep map choice as diverse as possible. So, if we've had 2
CTF maps in a row and there is a tie between a CTF map and a CZ-style map, we'll pick the CZ-style map.
As we play a map, it is removed from consideration for future play until a given round of the tournament is over
(see below). New maps will be added to the candidate list directly from Radium's rankings with the following
exceptions: (1) we will try to have no more than 2 of 4 maps be CTF and (2) no author shall have more than 1
map on the list, unless his/hers are the only unplayed maps left on Radium's list.
If Radium is slow to add new maps to his list, we will pick maps he rated highly but did not include in the top ten
or will add maps that we feel have what it takes to be a good map for a clan battle.
You need to play the map of the week. No more substitutions. If this is not acceptable, then please resign from
the tourney.
